LONGVIEW TIMBERLANDS RE-OPENS LANDS WEST OF THE CASCADE MOUNTAINS TO PUBLIC ACCESS
Longview Timberlands LLC property in Oregon and Washington will be re-opened to public-recreational entry due to reduced risk of forest fire danger.
Chris Lipton, General Manager – Washington Operations/Chief Forester and Ed Hendrix, General Manager – Oregon Operations said, “Recent rainfall and cool weather has reduced fire danger in most of our timberlands. Most of our lands in Oregon and Washington will be re-opened to walk-in recreation use except for areas of active operations and those counties east of the mountains (Chelan, Klickitat and Skamania counties in the State of Washington and Hood River and Wasco counties in the State of Oregon) . We are still asking the public to use caution and not smoke on our property.”
For up-to-date information on land closures please visit the Longview Timberlands website at www.longviewtimber.com or the Information Line at 360-442-7619.
